We asked our family doctor and he ordered blood work to check our titers- for all of us. We are all fully vaccinated but he said it’s a good idea to check and boost if needed, especially for the adults. Just throwing that out there for people who may not want to just add a booster if it’s not truly needed.

I've been trying to get that, but I go to a low-income clinic and am on Medicare. I've asked because I was born in the early '60s & there's a chance I got the 'bad' vaccine & should get a new one. They keep insisting I'm fine, but based on what I don't know.

Was thinking the same thing about the booster since I have MS and watch my grandchildren.

I'm immunosuppressed and have low titers. I'm stressed about it

I’m sympathetic, Artie. And in the same position 💖

Thank you for hearing me!! The ppl in my life think I'm overreacting. I'm so sorry you're in the same position. I hear you, too.

You are not overreacting. You should be overly concerned and so should your family, especially with this buffoon at the head of our Health Department. Please, be very careful and do not permit your family to “pooh-pooh” your concerns.

Sorry, I can't trust someone who encourages the use of colloidal silver.

Thank you for sharing this, and for your

Good advice to your readers on consulting their own physicians about booster shots.

My head is swirling with thoughts and feelings. I am aghast. I am angry. I blame Kennedy. I blame others. I fear for the children. I fear for the country as this illogical anti-science insanity spreads. I watch as America’s life expectancy goes down and maternal and infant mortality go up. What will happen if this madness spreads further and becomes more deeply rooted in our culture? I don’t like the answers I can imagine.

As a kid (I am old), I almost died from the double pneumonia I contracted as a complication of the measles. During that time, there were very few antibiotics.

With rfk at the helm, sadly it’s just the beginning. How screwed up to not vaccinate your child against these AWFUL diseases!!! It was eradicated until these mtg/rfk asshole antivaxxers crept in and were telling people to drink raw milk , not use masks and NEVER VACCINATE the deep state might put a “ chip” in the vaccines 🙄BOOM!!! Look where we are people???? Are you enjoying watching your children SUFFER?! You ARE who you voted for!

Exactly. Meanwhile, it is insane F-elon with wants to insert a chip in our brains via his company Neurolink. Check it out.

I am an old person who contracted the measles in first grade, and I can truthfully state that if you have been vaccinated with the MMR vaccine, you are doing the right thing. I will never forget lying in bed in a completely darkened room with a fever at or over 104° for literally days, alternately shivering and sweating, in terrible pain from the sores in my ears, near my eyes and in my mouth. Even weak sunlight coming through my bedroom curtains hurt my eyes because of the accompanying conjunctivitis. You may plan on having a horrible coughing, sneezing head cold and may develop complications like pneumonia, bronchitis, otitis media, corneal scarring and brain swelling that can lead to encephalitis and death. If you are concerned whether you have sufficient immunity, request that your physician order a blood test to confirm. I had it done myself at my last regular checkup. Sure enough, I had enough of them remaining from my "ordinary childhood disease" that I am fairly confident I will be okay on this score. I truly wish all of you the very best--and no measles.

I’m in Albuquerque, NM with an infant who isn’t yet vaccinated due to age. How concerned should I be?

I, too, reside in the 505. Lea County is way down south, BUT ensure anyone who wishes to visit your home has not been in southern NM in the past 12 days, or better yet, just tell them to stay away until your baby is vaccinated. My daughter’s oldest child went to Las Cruces to visit a friend, so now my daughter told her child she will need to quarantine for twelve days before she can come to the house since there are two small children at home. Just be cautious and ensure you follow the schedule for vaccines. Also, thank you for loving your child enough to vaccinate them.

Thank you for the suggestion! He’ll be one soon and we will be at the pediatricians office on time to continue our vaccine schedule. We 🤍 science!

Seeking your opinion (retired doc here)… my daughter has 4 m/o, travel planned to Oregon for family reunion this summer. Current advice for MMR, if international travel or to area of high risk, is can be as early as 6 months. Never thought I would say this, but with our current federal attempt to create chaos in public health, wondering if travel ANYWHERE in this country could soon qualify for high risk & asked her to discuss with pediatrician… what do you think?

I sent this thread to my dil. She’s confused about a few things. Mmr is a series of shots. What is this “booster”? Also, what in the world is the “bad” vaccine in the early 60’s?
